Union Jack: London Falling by Christos N. Gage

Gage, Christos N. Penciler, Mike Perkins. Union Jack: London Falling Marvel Publishing Inc., 2007 ISBN 0-7851-2181-1
Summary
London is being attacked by an army of super villains and it is up to Union Jack and his band of agents to bring the terrorist down and protect the lives of the innocent. The terrorist attacking London are part of a group called R.A.I.D. Those that are involved in the attacks are: Shockwave, Firebrand, Ecstasy, Boomerang, Zaran, Machete, Crossfire, Jack O’Lantern, Jackhammer, and the Corruptor. Union Jack leads, Sabra, and Arabian Knight, into a fight against the evil doers to keep London safe. All of the other agents are occupied fighting crimes in far away lands so it is up this group to bring down the members of R.A.I.D. and attempt to keep London safe for another day. Union Jack finds himself in a bigger issue and he would do what he can to bring justice.
Critical evaluation
Union Jack is the new and modern Captain Britain that will keep London safe and secure from those that wish to harm the innocent. He will stop at nothing to keep freedom and justice in his country, even if it means that he will bring those higher than him under scrutiny. There are many cameos of other Marvel characters into the plot line. Christos gives a comic book adaptation of terrorist events that are related to the real world. The super villain terrorists are no match for the superhero, Union Jack and his band of allies. Union Jack has no special powers but uses in wit and agile abilities to his advantage. The illustrations are bold, vivid, and easy to follow. It is loaded with non-stop action and working class heroics that makes Union Jack a fast and fun read.
