Critical evaluation
A classic fantastic super-hero graphic novel that is action packed with fighting scenes throughout its pages. It is easy to read and follow because its very detailed graphics and prose that will have those who have no idea of the Green Lantern understanding it. The Green Lantern’s powers are explained thoroughly and the background of Hal Jordan is explained well. The plot line is also brilliant because it take an ordinary young man who is given super powers because ‘the ring’ wanted him. He must fight off the old Green Lantern as well as those who followed him, which is a great storyline of “guilty until proven innocent.” Most superheroes are given there powers without a fight but Hal must fight to make is presence known.
